Hippy Market Punta Arabí
One of the most important tourist attractions on the island of Ibiza is Punta Arabí hippie market, based in our resort Punta Arabí. Since the 1970s, this market has been an important attraction for thousands of tourists and locals.
The history of Punta Arabí Hippy Market begins in 1973, when the management of the Hotel Club Punta Arabí offered local hippies the chance to sell their handmade products to the few tourists staying at the club. In the early days, the market had just five stalls: cakes, woollen jumpers, puppies, and toys and jewellery from India, all enhanced by violins, guitars and jam sessions.
Over time, the market became a source of income for many families and a must-see place to visit in Ibiza. Today it has over 500 stalls and attracts thousands of visitors, especially on Wednesdays in August, who enjoy the atmosphere in the garden area of Punta Arabí Club.
Among all street markets on the island, the Hippy Market Punta Arabí is the most genuine, oldest, and most varied, keeping alive its free and creative spirit which saw its birth.

Hippie Market Punta Arabí not only offers a wide variety of handmade and exotic products, but also a wide gastronomic offer for all tastes, both for adults and children. Among the delicacies available stands out our homemade paella, which you can savour on the grill terrace from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, among many other specialities.
In addition, there is a marquee area where concerts are held, a children’s area for little ones’ entertainment and an exhibition area. Come and enjoy a complete experience full of taste, music, and fun for the whole family.
